OUR HISTORY

1969

Ed Lewis left Belknap to start career in rep industry. Began doing business with Do it Best (then HWI), Ace, True Value & Orgill.

1974

Founded Ed Lewis Sales Co. (ELSCO).
First line represented – Thomas Paint Applicator (later EZ Paintr & now Shur-Line)

1983

Moved into corporate office building in St. Matthews.

1995

Began Home Depot merchandising division.

1997

Edwin Lewis left Lehman Brothers in New York to join ELSCO

2002

Exited Home Depot to focus on the independent hardware store channel

2007

Invested heavily to build out National Field Sales Team to service the independent hardware store channel.

2008

Partnered with Do it Best Corp. on two key internal field sales initiatives

2014

Craig Evans joined ELSCO from Newell Rubbermaid to manage Ace & True Value accounts.

2017

Jon Kreyling joined ELSCO from Stanley Black & Decker to manage Orgill & Lancaster.

2018

Completed major corporate office renovation.

2019

Celebrating our 45th Year in Business.
